RGC started six years ago with the aim of putting on quality golf days whilst at the same time as raising funds for Help for Heroes. Our success has been such that in that time , with the great support of Masters Golf , we have been able to provide H4H with Huxley all weather putting greens and practice nets at their Rehabilitation Centres at Tedworth , Colchester and Catterick. This relates to over £200,000 worth of golf equipment.
These facilities not only give an opportunity for the injured service people to use at their leisure but also for visiting families as it is quite simply a sporting facility for all ages.
In 2017 RGC working closely with Wickwar Wessex Breweries and Masters Golf put on a successful golf day at St Pierre which raised £5,500 for the Children’s Hospice South West. They provide hospice care for children with life threatening conditions and their whole families.

Weston Hospicecare provides free specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset and bordering areas of Somerset. This year we will help 1 in 100 people – with a range of illnesses from cancer and motor neurone disease to brain and lung disease – to ensure that they are pain-free, supported to lead an independent and rewarding life, and are able to be cared for in a place of their own choosing.
